A staged reading of a book I directed/produced

From Davidson College’s website: “On Tuesday, Sept. 26, the English Department and Theatre Department hosted the world premiere of a spectacular genre-bending event: a staged reading of The Secret Room – a string quartet, written by Kazim Ali, the distinguished McGee Professor of Creative Writing for fall 2017. Directed by Ryan Rotella ’17 (English), the reading gave voice to Professor Ali’s experimental novel, which is written in the form of a musical score. The Strange and Lovely Music of The Secret Room, by Lucas Weals ’19, provides a thorough review of the performance.”
